Evidenced-Based instruction for high academic achievement
Now in Beta, early seed stage: Mem-ExSpan, memspan is an interactive supplementary blended e-learning system that rapidly improves cognitive skills through chunking and coding sequencing practice. The Bridge to Achievement® (The BTA) offers unique encoding-decoding skill action training. The "Patterns and Systems" methodology creates "span-expansion". It has been researched at 13 test sites. The lessons build stronger focus and memory spans for improved listening and visual memory processing up-take and out-put. This results in higher student academic achievement for college and career readiness.
Mem-ExSpan, memspan, researched/created/developed by Jan Kuyper Erland, offers students, grades 4 - 9, a way to accelerate and jump-start their learning with other skill programs, and catch up with peers. This is through engaging, interactive sensory integration that includes strong visual and auditory (listening) sequence training. Music, art, drama, and scientific concepts are applied through a unique, intense rehearsal regimen to understand math and reading procedures quickly. Juried, published reports verified that robust academic growth gains maintained over time. These five 1-3 year longitudinal data reports by J. K. Erland won an educational research award by the International Alliance for Learning (2001).
Discover a way to learn easily with retro puppet-toy-actors as task masters, and the ability to see connections where few were considered before.
Learn fast while pretending through "Make Believe" - teens and pre-teens can now enjoy historical comic toys of yesteryear, made directly from within "Hollywood's Golden Age". Meet the cubistic characters as they apply J. K. Erland's representation of her "contrapuntal-parallel speed thinking" musical phrasing rehearsal method driving the results. Number span lesson-items go at different speeds/paces to match the learner's ability rate - this is a static demo sample.
